Have you heard of Got It Learning card games?

If you’re looking for fun phonics games, these card games are for you!

There are 5 fun, fast-paced games in every set of cards - word match, word pairs, word race, word switch, and word sets - that are sure to get your students or kids actively engaged in reading and spelling.

Each game can be played with 2 to 4 players in 5 to 10 minutes, so you can play a couple quick games or turn it into a full lesson depending on your time and learners’ needs.

I love that there are instructions for a reading game and a reading + spelling version, making these games even more versatile. There are helpful videos on the Got It Learning website that demonstrate how to play each game!

Here is a peek at what’s included inside each set of cards, as well as a set up for word match reading, word sets reading, and word sets reading + spelling games. These games are especially great for learners who enjoy variety beyond the typical card games like Go Fish.

Each set includes:

  • x5 instruction cards

  • x5 picture prompt cards

  • x8 Got It! cards

  • x40 word cards (focus on 5 different sounds)

So much thought went into creating the Got It Learning reading and spelling card games, and I’m proud to be an affiliate. Here are some of the things I love about this company and their games:

  • The font was carefully designed to be simple, clear and dyslexia friendly.

  • The picture prompt cards help learners read words and link each sound to an anchor picture/word.

  • A free assessment sheet is available on the shop page to help you identify the best starting level.

  • Got It Learning was co-founded by a mother and son pair. Caroline Rennison has over 25 years of teaching experience, and her son Joe Rennison has dyslexia and a BA in Business.
